Natural seawater contains a lot of salt substances, the main component of which is sodium chloride (NaCl). In general, the chloride ion content in seawater is about 15-19 g/L.
Electrolysis of seawater antifouling is to use special electrodes to electrolyze seawater to produce effective chlorine (including HCIO, ClO-, Cl2) in a non-diaphragm electrolytic cell. These available chlorines are strong oxidants that can kill the larvae or spores of marine organisms, thereby preventing the attachment and growth of marine organisms.
